N94ONS is a Superguppy. Based on the Boeing C97 Cargomaster, originally derived from the B29 Superfortress of WW2. The Superguppy conversions were most often employed by NASA during and subsequent to the Apollo era, and did not cease flying until the mid 1980′s early 1990′s.

McDonnell Douglass TA4K. in Aggressor Squadron “Soviet” markings as employed at “Top Gun” Naval Air to Air Combat School, NAS Miramar.
Aggressor Squadron flew as simulated Russian aircraft and pilots, quite literally a Soviet Airforce Unit as close to genuine as could be achieved, operating on US soil.
